The Yoga Element
About The Yoga Element

A while ago, I was given a book called The Element, and reading it helped everything else in my life fall into place. According to the book’s author, Sir Ken Robinson, “The element is the point at which natural talent meets personal passion. When people arrive at the element, they feel most themselves and most inspired and achieve at their highest levels.” On a yoga mat, I am in my element. This realization brings to mind well-known yogi David Williams, who explained the goal of his own yoga journey at a small workshop I attended as a novice yoga student:

“Everyday, I want to wake up where I want to be and do what I want to do all day long.”

An impossible dream? Perhaps. But when I read The Element, it became clear that passion, combined with the right knowledge, could yield that very result: a life and career dedicated to what comes naturally. The Yoga Element is about discovering one’s true nature through self-exploration and rediscovery. Each time you step onto your yoga mat, the opportunity to realize potential and confront the unknown awaits. I invite you to see how this practice might help lead you toward your element–waking up where you want to be, doing what you want to do all day long.
