Finding the Work: Headstand (Sirsasana)
Headstand, revered as the “King” posture of vinyasa yoga, is one of the most empowering asanas. When practiced with patience and awareness, this pose can bring new perspective to what you think your body is capable of and in doing so, turn your world upside-down! Unfortunately, many people attempt headstand without first understanding what is required for it to be safe and ultimately strong. This workshop is suitable for practitioners of all levels. Whether you’ve never practiced headstand but are curious about incorporating it into your practice, or have been doing headstand but without a sense of ease or confidence, we’ll break down the pose into manageable prep work, supplying the necessary building blocks to take the pose away from the wall and into the centre of room with a renewed sense of balance.
