Lake of Bays Yoga
During the summer months, LOBY is open to participants of all ages and abilities who wish to add yoga to their cottage-life routine. We offer in-studio classes as well as private, customized sessions in our studio space on South Portage Road.

This season we are proud to offer online registration for all classes. Since each class accommodates up to 10 students, it’s best to reserve your spot ahead of time. Please note, for any reservations canceled with less than 24 hours notice, a fee of $20 will be applied to your account. Parking is available for both cars and boats. If you are driving, please park in the studio driveway, not on the road or on neighbouring property. If our lot is full, please park at the public dock and walk up. Carpooling is encouraged!
Guidelines for Studio Classes
- Yoga asanas are best practiced on an empty stomach (wait at least two hours after meals).
- Light, non-restrictive clothing, bare feet and a yoga mat will help you to experience an enjoyable, comfortable class.
- Bring along a mat, towel and water bottle.
- Since yoga generates heat and sweat, please refrain from wearing scented body products while practicing.
- No yoga pose requires the use of a cell phone, so feel free to leave your phone in your car, boat or at home!
- New students: please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of class to leave time for registration.
- Always take rest (savasana) after practice. If you must leave early, exit the studio before others enter savasana so as not to disturb their rest period.
- If you have any current injuries or medical conditions (joint problems, high or low blood pressure, pregnancy, recent surgery, etc.) be sure to communicate this with your teacher at the beginning of class.
