Private lessons offer more personal attention and are the ideal setting for exploring the practice in an individualized manner. Those who are new to yoga can gain great benefit from starting with private lessons before moving onto group classes. One-on-one attention ensures that postures are learnt with precise alignment, encouraging a safe and effective practice, taking into consideration any need for modifications due to injuries or restrictions.

For those already accustomed to a class setting, private lessons nurture personal growth. Together with the teacher, students can address particular poses that present difficulty or frustration. They can then carry the information gained in private lessons either into group classes and or toward a confident self-practice that can be done anywhere, at anytime.

Booking

Appointments with Cecily can be made via phone or email.
Please note, sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice will incur a full session fee.

Paying

Payment can be made in person via cash or cheque, or online via Paypal.  If you prefer to pay online via credit or debit card, notify Cecily and she will provide an invoice. Rates are determined based on session location, duration and number of participants (group private lessons are available up to 4 people).

Things to Keep in Mind

  • All cancellations must be received within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment so as not to incur a fee.
  • Sessions will begin and end on time, and can be booked for 60-90min in length.
  • Payment can be made online in advance, or at the time of each session.
  • Cecily will conduct a preliminary physical assessment of posture, strength, flexibility and any history of injuries or medical conditions. All information is kept strictly confidential.
  • Students are asked to supply their own yoga mats
  • It is best to schedule private sessions at a time when your home is quiet and free of distractions.
  • When booking, keep in mind that yoga is most enjoyable on an empty stomach
  • If there is anything that would make your customized yoga session more enjoyable (Ie. music, a specific focus on challenging postures, extra time spent in relaxation), don’t hesitate to communicate your wishes with Cecily.
